Spring Break Maker Camp
Morning Session 9am – 12:30pm available Afternoon Session 12:30pm – 4pm available Maker camp is a choose-your-own-adventure experience, where students are able to select exactly what they prefer to create! Students are welcome to begin, (or continue creating) knit, crochet, and other art projects — Or, they’ll have the option of choosing from our project list, where an instructor will guide them through learning a new skill while creating a project. Round out your crafting day by mixing and matching Sewing Camp with Crochet and Craft Camp! Students of all ages are welcome to join maker camp! Each project category will have options for beginner-level, intermediate-level, and advanced-level. Craft Project Examples: Friendship Bracelets: From braiding to macrame to bracelet looms – We have so many options for cord yarn that can be used to create colorful bracelets Plant Hangers: Get ready for the warmer months by creating a hanging planter – (for a live plant, or create a faux plant Flower Crowns Room Decorations: The perfect mixed-media projects to explore seasonal creativity Crochet Juggling Set: Creating spheres can be the perfect starting point for starting to crochet stuffed animals. If students are just starting out with crochet, we’ll begin to build the skills needed to start working on 3D shapes. Dream Catchers: Weaving yarn within a hoop to create a dream catcher, often decorated with beads and feathers. Miniature Weaving: Using a small homemade loom to weave yarn into miniature tapestries or mats.
