Introductory Adult/Teen Sewing Class for Beginners

Are you an adult eager to learn or rediscover sewing? Join our 90-minute introductory sewing class, perfect for beginners and those with rusty skills. In just one session, we’ll guide you through the fundamentals, and you’ll leave with a completed project after this sewing 101 class. What you’ll learn: Introduction to our sewing machines or bring your own (for a deeper dive, explore Machine 101) Sewing straight lines and turning corners Proper fabric handling on the machine Troubleshooting common machine issues Craft a charming four-patch pillow Hand sewing (if time allows) And much more! We provide the sewing machines*, tools, festive fabrics, and expert guidance – all you need to bring is yourself! No prior experience is necessary, this class is accessible to everyone. *Please don’t bring a machine to this class if you’re a new student—we won’t have time to set it up. If you choose to bring your own machine, you’ll need to handle full setup, threading, and operation on your own during class. We can only cover basic machine instruction in this group session. You’re welcome to bring your machine to all subsequent classes if you’d like.
