Fanny Pack Sewing Class

Wear it cross-body or around the waist, no question about it, The Fanny Pack is back! We’ve adapted a fantastic fanny pack specifically for NSS we think you’re going to love! The price covers both classes.  If you’ve already booked Part 1, please book Part 2 here. It features a roomy lined main pocket with an additional smaller lined pocket on the front.  It’s the perfect size bag to carry what you need but not feel like it’s a burden.  The sewing is straightforward and it comes together beautifully. In this 2 part (two hour each) class, we’ll cover the following and more: Choosing the proper weight fabric for a bag Pattern layout and cutting techniques Sewing with 1/4″ seam allowances Installing TWO zippers Topstitching details Working with webbing and associated hardware What we provide: Festive fabrics (if you’d like to bring your own you’ll need 1/2 yard for the outside and another 1/2 for the inside) Fanny Pack sewing pattern and instructions Sewing machine, threads, scissors, etc. Expert guidance! What you need to know: Basic machine operation You’ve probably sewn a pillow and tote bag in the past What you need to bring: sewing machine (optional) water bottle reading glasses fabric (*optional) *We have a vast collection of donation fabrics that we love for students to use for their projects.  Most is high end, you’ll be surprised what you can find in our store room!
