Bought this for my Palram 6×8 greenhouse. This does work, however two things that could be improved. If the window bracket had just a tiny bit wider slots, the slide bolts that are used everywhere on the greenhouse, would fit through and we would be able to use them to affix the opener. The slots on the frame bracket ARE wide enough. I wasn’t ABOUT to drill holes in my expensive greenhouse, so I used a metal drill on the slot on the window bracket so I could use the Palram slide bolts on both ends. Works perfectly, but I wouldn’t be able to return it since i altered it.In the directions, they should mention that if it’s summer and you’re trying to install the cylinder into the housing, you should put the cylinder in the freezer for 15 minutes first, then push the piston rod in and out a few times to make it move smoothly. Then it is easy to screw it into the housing with the window shut. And, as the cylinder warms up it’ll open so you’ll know it’s working. I had to get this hint from another review or I would have thought the product was defective because I was trying to screw it into the housing while the piston rod is fully extended and trying to open the window.
